Gratitude is Gratis – The Power of Appreciation

Some people collect coins, others acquire comic books, or in the case of my mom, amass measuring cups.  Once I started my own business,  I’ve made it a practice to collect and treasure gratitude. Check out my recent collection from my clients:

  • Hi Kenda, The article is absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing your gifts and telling my story so well.

  • Love it, Thank you very much. (regarding a story)

  • Well done both of you on delivering such a bright, positive, timely message! (ad copy)

  • Kenda, I can’t express how much I thank you for taking on this task.  You make all of us proud. Thanks again.

  • Kenda, You make me look brilliant…sounds good.

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

  • These are FANTASTIC – thanks again for pulling all of this together!

  • You really rock a Q&A

  • Kenda, Thank you so much for being the ultimate networker and connecting us. I am so appreciative.

  • Thank you again Kenda for all your help. Organizing events like that is not my strong suit. It is really nice to rely on you and it all go off flawlessly. I think it was a great success.

  • Thanks you Kenda for all your support – hope you can keep helping us, we will need it.

Do I share this to brag? Well, I DO have the best clients, but I publish these examples because I am incredibly grateful to work with people I like on causes in which I believe – and want to illustrate the power of gratitude.  It didn’t cost any of these people a dime to send me a quick note of thanks for a project I did for them – and these words mean the world to me. (If you are a client reading this - THANK YOU!)

Appreciation holds huge power in building relationships and helping those around you feel seen for their hard work.  Thanking someone specifically for something they did encourages continued partnership and helps that person be inspired to continue to hone that skill.

Who can you thank today for a job well done? For going above and beyond? For being a listening ear?  It really isn’t complicated – and can really bring a burst of joy to the recipient.  Gratitude is gratis – and goes a long way.
